What’s the opposite of the calm before the storm? The storm after the calm, I suppose. Well, after the nice, calm, chilled energy generated from a creative Zoom call and a writing sesh, the storm arrived – my wife’s laptop died while she was working to a deadline. Not the best of days to be honest. I’m now waiting for a replacement SSD and a USB-C to A adapter so I can make a USB boot drive. Thankfully, she was able to finish the job on another laptop, but not without a lot of frustration.

So, all my reading and creative plans went up in smoke while I diagnosed and ordered parts. I’m just grateful that I know a thing or two about computers, and this is a 2015 Mac, so it’s still old enough for a DIY repair. Fingers crossed it will work!
