Morning Pages | 23 January 2026
It's new pen day! Ellington Pens sent me a Nautilus, and I just inked it up this morning with Diamine Deep Dark Blue, as it just felt right for this pen. It was a very pleasant writing experience. I'm generally more of a broad-nib guy, but a medium nib can make a pen more of an everyday writer, and I appreciate that. I might actually pick this up over a Sarasa gel pen when I'm taking book notes. I'll use it through the day and hope to write my pages again tomorrow—it's one of those rare weekends when I'm home! My first impressions of the pen on a single use are all positive, and the fact that I feel drawn to it today is a very good sign!
Ellington Pens are offering a discount that runs until the end of January, so it's a good time to try one! It would make a nice beginner pen for the fountain pen curious.
