As I post, I've read the first half of the first chapter of Yevgeny Onegin and I'm itching to get back to it. The 'warm gun' analogy holds, though I need a better metaphor, one that doesn't involve a gun! How about a warm scone? Yeah, that'll. I do enjoy a warm scone just out of the oven!

The hunt for my dad's military records began when I rediscovered his medals in a drawer after my brother's kids asked about them. He fought in Korea during his national service in the King's Own Scottish Borderers infantry regiment. I believe he was 19 at the time. He hardly ever spoke about it.
